Reflexology is an ancient therapy that has been in use for over 5000 years. It has become a very popular complementary therapy because it is safe, non-invasive and effective. It is both a holistic therapy and a complementary therapy (in that it complements any other form of treatment whether traditional or alternative).
A treatment involves massage and gentle pressure applied to specific reflex points on the feet or hands, to bring about healing in any organs or systems in the body which may not be functioning to their optimum level.
1 hour — £30
As the name suggests, this therapy shows how the ‘Rei’ flow of energy interacts with the pressure points on the soles of the feet. Our ‘soul’ is reflected on our ‘soles’, and because of this, much information about what is going on in our lives is also reflected.
The therapist is able to tap into this comprehensive information in a down-to-earth way which you can easily relate to and in turn empower you to make changes in your life that are hindering you. The key difference between this treatment and the normal reflexology is the information the client gains, and also how to best deal with that information. This therapy includes consultation at the beginning, and then a foot massage.
— £35
Ayurvedic Reflexology is the dynamic integration of traditional Ayurvedic Marma Therapy with contemporary reflexology. This dynamic treatment includes the use of selected oils with a small metal ‘kansa’ bowl. The bowl is oiled and rubbed on the soles of the feet, producing a mild heat which balances foot and body temperature, and also draws out toxins.
Following this, the five Marma points are addresses. Marma points are the acupuncture points in the feet and are worked with the fingertips to release Prana (energy) and restore energetic flow, guaranteed to leave you feeling refreshed and energies.
50 mins — £35
